Complements and words of encouragement can be received as pressure. I always tell Elisa, when someone compliments you, just say “thank you.” A self-critique response isn’t helpful and insults the person paying the compliment. Of course, inner dialogue self-critique isn’t just unhelpful, but damaging. It’s also much harder to eliminate. It’s important for those of us with anxiety and imposter syndrome to remember that self-doubt isn’t usually outwardly apparent. I’ve always been impressed with how you own a room when performing. I never would’ve guessed.

Also may i suggest these old navy cords? I just got them and they are a bit toddler style but comfortable and kind of cute? You’d be a medium.
