Megan- Thanks so much for sharing this. What struck me was that for someone like Hemingway, the tombstone reads only his name. There's no words that signify accolades, credits, or roles by the measurement of world's standards---whether it's 'profound writer' or 'word-weaver.' And perhaps that really sums up our time on earth: Name, Birth, and Gone. Seemingly a complete arc--almost as complete as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. Gone from view, except perhaps only temporarily, while it travels elsewhere out of our sight. A great reminder. Hope you're having a great week, Megan-

Dear Megan. This is so inspiring. It has been very many years since i have read this book. I have loved Hemingway although recognizing that i don’t always agree with or understand all of his writing. It is nice to think that it is OK to pick and chose some of his thoughts. I must go back and read this book as an “adult” now and see if it still moves me. In the past year, i have experienced some pretty extraordinary artistic events that i would qualify as moveable feasts that i will never forget including a ballet by the National ballet of Canada and a Feist concert. Thanks for this. I do love this concept. ❤️
